Bridges Staff
Timothy Killingsworth, RN, our Bridges unit program director/nursing manager, has more than 15 years in psychiatric and general medical treatment leadership. Timothy's clinical background includes leadership in pulmonary medicine. He has recently acquired certification as a non-violent crisis intervention instructor.
Claudia Davis, RN, MSN, our nurse liaison, has 34 years nursing experience. Claudia has been practicing in geropsychiatric nursing since 1987. She has served as a staff nurse and later as program director at Parthenon Pavilion, as a nurse manager for a PSI geriatric partial hospitalization program, and as a clinical nurse specialist with Psychiatric Consultants providing office and nursing home psychiatric care. Claudia joined the Bridges staff in 2004. She received her nursing diploma from St. Luke's Methodist Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1974, and received a bachelor of arts in 1974 and a bachelor's degree in nursing in 1976 from Coe College in Cedar Rapids. Subsequently she earned a master's degree in medical-surgical nursing from Vanderbilt University in 1978, and worked in a post-master's program in adult psychiatric mental health nursing. She worked in cardiovascular and rehabilitation nursing prior to transitioning to geriatric psychiatry and also taught at Coe College and the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
Beverly Theis, LCSW, is our clinical social worker. She has 20 years of clinical geriatric experience including private practice, nursing homes and inpatient hospital work. Beverly received her bachelor's degrees in psychology and social work from the University of Maryland and her master's degree in social work, with a specialization in aging, also from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She is a Baltimore native and has been living in the Nashville area for the past 14 years, where she resides with her two sons in the Brentwood area.
