Antoinne Able, M.D. currently serves as the medical director of Nashville Rehabilitation Hospital and leads the physical rehabilitation program. Originally from Memphis, Tenn., Dr. Able graduated from Meharry Medical College in 1989 and is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He completed his residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Able has lived in Nashville since 2001 and is on the teaching staff at Meharry Medical College. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys fitness activities, bicycling, tennis and singing with a community chorus. Dr. Able’s wife, Patricia, teaches 2nd grade in Metro Public Schools.
John Cain, M.D., is the medical director of the Bridges geriatric psychiatric unit. Originally from Washington, D.C., Dr. Cain graduated from James Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tenn., in 1964. He completed his residency at Vanderbilt Hospital and is board eligible in psychiatry and neurology. He enjoys woodworking and reading, and he and his wife Julie have four children.
Elsie Ollapally, M.D. is a medical consultant for NRH, with her primary function being quality control and oversight of the clinical lab service. Dr. Ollapally graduated from St. John’s medical College, Bangalore, India. She completed her residency at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pa. and is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology
Robert Graham, M.D., is a medical consultant at NRH, with his primary practice being at Baptist Hospital. Originally from Nashville, Dr. Graham graduated from University of Tennessee-Memphis in 1981. He completed his residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis and is board certified in internal medicine. He also works with the Boy Scouts of America, enjoys playing his trumpet in a swing band, and is an active member of Brentwood United Methodist Church. Dr. Graham and his wife Susan have three children.
Stephen May, M.D., is a medical consultant at NRH, with his primary practice being at Baptist Hospital. Originally from Avon Park, Florida., Dr. May graduated from Meharry Medical College in 1994. He completed his residency at Baptist Hospital in Nashville and is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. May has lived in Nashville for 17 years and enjoys hiking and traveling. Dr. May and his wife Beth have two children.
Stephen Scarpero, M.D., is a medical consultant at NRH, with his primary practice being at Skyline Medical Center. Dr. Scarpero graduated from Louisiana State University in 1995. He completed his residency at LSU School of Medicine and is board certified in internal medicine.
