Stroke Rehabilitation

Patient being helped into car Individuals recovering from stroke often require inpatient rehab to help them increase their independence in a timely, effective manner. A rehabilitation team works together on a program to improve your functional deficits. This team is led by a specially trained physician and includes speech, occupational and physical therapists, rehab nurses, a nutritionist, and a case manager.

We focus on swallowing concerns in dysphasia groups and teach adaptive techniques to accomplish day-to-day tasks. We provide training for family and caregivers to assist with a successful return home. This pathway to recovery allows patients to become more functionally independent as we demonstrate how to incorporate lifestyle changes that reduce the risk of future strokes or other complications.
